eh, hem.

i feel sheepish.
awkward to type.
you know when you have a pile of christmas thank-you notes? and there they sit, staring at you, halfway through january & then finally in february you just throw them away so you can rid yourself of the guilt?
yeah.
that's how i feel.
the pictures from the end of august & ALL of september have been staring at me.
everyday!

i wanted to blog EVERY DAY!
but never got to it.

that has been what's happening here.
hot days slowly fading into sunny, but cooler days.
and they have felt good. (ok, lets not forget that they have also brought their fair share of seasonal allergies. LOTS of sneezing has filled my days.)

#1. riding in the car. B: why don't cows have to wear clothes? me: god made them with lots of hair to keep warm. B: I wish god would have made us like that. me: well we are made so special because we are made in gods image! B: I DON'T LOOK LIKE GOD, I DON'T HAVE A BEARD!

#2. shawn & B wresting. "dad you are tquishing me!" tquishing?? ooooh, SQuishing. Bentley say SSSquishing. "TQuishing!" no, SSSSSSSquishing! "TTTQuishing!" "DAD, THIS is JUST how I speak English!"

end of august: car ride back to atkinson to spend time with ALL the kliewer family! B requested DJ to make him a dino.

homecoming game! our little candidate! didn't get the crown, but she is OUR queen!

what the apples that didn't get eaten or used in apple crisp got turned into. apple sauce!

fall means school has started which means andrea has a few sub days which means jed comes to play! and play they do!

and now excited for october!

and it's the month where we get busy again.

basketball practice for shawn starts a week from today!

May has been the month of many emotions.
every emotion.
confused about snow,
tired.
thrilled about 100 degrees!
depressed.
excited!
nervous.
loved.
sad.

on may 19th, 2013 our little 10 week old in utero baby went home to be with our Lord.

i have always had a fear of losing a little baby.
i know its common, i know many women have,
but i didn't think i could live through it.
but you know what?
i can.

i've been in very close communication with God.
begging,
pleading.
ending with your will be done.

and it was.

god knows what's best for our family.
he also gives the peace that passes all understanding.
and friends to bring you dinner,
cry really hard with you on the phone,
& skittles for the boy.

when explaining to bentley that "bubbly bath" baby (his name choice) went back up to heaven, & we will just have to wait a little longer for another baby to be in our family (who will then be named "sleeper booboo") he simply replied with "AWE!" as in, awe shucks.
i like his perspective.
we are disappointed,
but we know heaven is an awesome place for that baby to be.

we surprised phil & went back to atkinson to celebrate his retirement- 39 years of teaching!

no little toy gun for bentley, so grandpa made one.

11. decided i need black flats. figured out that the leopard ones don't flow with gray dress pants. 
12. still have my packets of via (the new instant coffee from starbucks).

14.working on a craft project. teacher style.
15. crossing my fingers for a win from the softball team this weekend.
16. that would result in a 2 1/2 day week for the students.
17. only 3 1/2 days for us.
18. don't tell mrs. w, but my fingers are crossed.
